This Intimate Boho Barn Wedding in Oregon was perfect in every way.

I met Tien and Larry in 2017. When I first started my photography career, I reached out to them to do in-home couples shoot in their apartment. I wanted to build my portfolio and have some more practice shooting, little did I know I would shoot their wedding day a few years later!

When they got engaged, Tien reached out to me to shoot their wedding. I was the first photographer that ever shot them. They wanted all their wedding vendors to be people that they’ve worked with before or had a connection with them, which I loved. Vendors are such a big part of wedding days, so I could not be more excited to be a part of their day!

The photos speak for themselves. This day full of all Pinterest bride dreams! They chose the Barn Kestrel in West Linn, Oregon to have their wedding.

Initially, Tien and Larry originally had a guest list of 200+ people. As a result of having a wedding during a pandemic, they had to cut their guest list down. They were still able to celebrate with their closest family and friends, and had around 40 guests attend. They turned their big wedding day into an intimate celebration.

When the wedding day came, it was one of the hottest days of the summer and over 100 degrees! However, they provided handheld fans on all the guests’ chairs so their guests could stay somewhat cool during the ceremony. Despite everyone dying in the heat, that didn’t stop anyone from having such a fun and special day.

The venue was so stunning and was the perfect spot for Tien and Larry. They held their ceremony in the outdoor space of the venue, and they decorated it beautifully with the terracotta floral wedding arch and a charcuterie grazing table for cocktail hour. They had their favorite food trucks come for dinner, it is always such a fun twist on a food caterer.

After the ceremony, the reception was held in the barn. It was seriously one of the most stunning spaces ever. They took attention to every single detail from the boho table settings, the dried florals, and the macrame hanging chandeliers. They ended the night with a fun dance party, and had a sparkler grand exit!
Although it wasn’t the big wedding day that they originally planned for. Above all, they didn’t let their pivots and changes impact their day. Tien and Larry’s Intimate Boho Barn Wedding turned out to be even better than they expected!
