Jasmina and Calvin’s engagement session at the Peninsula Rose Garden in Portland was honestly one of my favorites to date. When we arrived, the garden was in full bloom and we lucked out with hardly any people around. It felt like we had this little piece of Portland all to ourselves, which made the whole shoot feel extra special.
Because the Peninsula Rose Garden is such a hidden gem, it’s the perfect spot for couples who want romantic garden engagement vibes without the big crowds. The flowers were bursting with color and the air smelled so sweet. We spent the afternoon running around the pathways, finding little pockets of light and blooms to frame their story. It made my photographer heart so happy!
One thing I loved most about this session was how much time we had to really slow down. During our time at the Peninsula Rose Garden, I got to know Jasmina and Calvin so much better. Their laughter, the way they looked at each other and their easy chemistry made every photo feel so real. These little moments are why I love what I do.
Plus, sessions like this help build such a strong connection before the wedding day. Now, I feel even more excited to capture their wedding this August. They’ll feel comfortable in front of my camera because we already shared this fun day together in the garden!
If you’re dreaming about photos surrounded by flowers, the Peninsula Rose Garden is truly one of Portland’s sweetest spots. From spring through summer, you’ll find so many colorful blooms and peaceful pathways that make every shot feel timeless.
More than anything, I believe your engagement session should feel like an adventure. It’s about exploring, laughing and letting your love shine through in a natural way.
If you love these romantic garden vibes and want photos that feel just as special, I’d love to help you plan your own session at the Peninsula Rose Garden or any spot that feels right for you. Reach out and let’s make some magic together. I can’t wait to hear your story!
