I recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing this beautiful family session in West Linn, Oregon! The location was a wide, open field with plenty of space for the family to run, explore and feel truly free. There’s something so peaceful about wide-open spaces. It allowed us to capture the relaxed, candid moments that made these field family photos so special.

This session had an extra sweet twist. The family had just found out they were expecting baby number 2! This was a huge moment of celebration. They shared the news with me only a week before the shoot, so we incorporated their pregnancy announcement into the photos in a natural and heartfelt way. It was a really special time capturing these memories, especially since they wanted to savor this time with their firstborn before he becomes a big brother!

Another thing that made this session extra unique was that this was their first photoshoot together! They hadn’t gotten engagement photos and didn’t have their dream wedding or professional photos from that day. They were feeling a bit nervous before we started. Once we got started, the nerves faded quickly! These field family photos turned out so special and amazing.
