Jasmina and Calvin’s Amaterra Winery wedding in Portland was a perfect blend of simplicity and elegance. From the very beginning, the day felt peaceful and unhurried. Surrounded by panoramic views and modern architecture that gave the whole space a light, open feel. From the getting-ready moments on the terrace to their heartfelt vows overlooking the valley, every part of the day reflected a calm, refined kind of joy!

Ceremony Overlooking the Vineyards

When it came time for the ceremony, Amaterra’s open patio transformed into the most beautiful setting. Because the space overlooks rolling vineyards and distant city views, it naturally felt intimate and inviting. Guests settled into their seats while a gentle breeze carried through the valley.

Jasmina walked down the aisle surrounded by soft white florals from Songbird Floristry, which framed the view perfectly. The design was understated but elegant, enhancing the space instead of competing with it. As the ceremony unfolded, the sun shone softly on the couple, adding warmth to an already emotional moment. Watching them exchange vows under the summer sky felt effortlessly romantic, and afterward, the cheers that followed said it all.

Reception Details + Sunset Moments

After the ceremony, the reception continued the same clean and timeless design. Tables were set with simple white linens, light green napkins, and flickering candles. In addition, the bar featured a glowing neon sign that read “The Zhangs,” adding a modern personal touch. As the night continued, the evening carried an easy flow, filled with laughter, toasts, and heartfelt moments between family and friends.

Later on, as the sun began to set, I took Jasmina and Calvin out for portraits around the property. Between the vineyard rows and near the cascading waterfall, they completely relaxed into the moment. The soft golden light wrapped around them, creating the kind of glow you only get at Amaterra! Finally, as the evening drew to a close, the night ended under a lavender sky. The couple shared a quiet moment overlooking the valley before returning to their guests.
