The Wedding Venue – Cape Horn Estate

The wedding venue that Lily and Joseph chose was the Cape Horn Estate. It is located just 30 minutes east of Portland in Skamania, WA. When we chatted about their wedding day, I was beyond excited to shoot at this beautiful wedding venue.

Lily and Joseph decided to have their wedding and reception in their outdoor venue space. The outdoor space is so gorgeous and is such a beautiful area. The ceremony space overlooks the Columbia River Gorge Mountains and has the prettiest views. Lily and Joseph chose the perfect wedding venue for their special day.

The views made it feel like we were no longer in Oregon, it almost felt like we were in Hawaii. Towards the end of the evening, a rainbow came out and we took that opportunity to capture that moment with the couple. That was definitely my favorite moment of their day!

The wedding day

The day started getting ready with the bridal parties! They spent the morning getting ready and calming their nerves before the wedding began. Next, Lily and Joseph then did their first look and private vows overlooking the mountains. It was perfect.

After we shot some bride and groom portraits, it was time for the ceremony! They decorated the outdoor ceremony space with white roses and string lights. Everyone was teary-eyed and it was the perfect mountain view ceremony.

Lily and Joseph were so much fun and I loved working with them! Their wedding day at the Cape Horn Estate, was filled with smiles and laughter and I love how even though it started to rain during their outdoor reception, all their family and friends continued to embrace it and dance through the night. These two are completely in love with each other and I had the best time capturing their wedding day!
