Samantha and Daniel’s big day was an absolute dream! Imagine a wedding where Hawaiian tropical vibes meet beautiful cultural wedding traditions. Held at the stunning Iron Light venue on Lake Oswego in Oregon, their celebration was a perfect blend of romance and cultural richness. With lush greenery and the calming lakeside setting, the venue set the stage for such a magical day.
Daniel, who is Korean, added a heartfelt touch to the celebration with a traditional Korean ceremony. Wearing elegant hanbok attire, Daniel and Samantha performed a “paebaek“, a meaningful ritual where they offered tea to their parents. This act of respect symbolizes gratitude and the union of families. Fun and symbolic games followed, like catching chestnuts—believed to predict the number of children they might have—and a piggyback ride to show the groom’s strength and commitment to supporting his family. It was a charming way to honor their heritage!
On Samantha’s side, the Japanese influence was beautifully represented through hand-folded paper cranes. These cranes, meticulously crafted by Samantha’s family, are a symbol of peace and good fortune in Japanese tradition. Their presence throughout the wedding added a touch of elegance and significance, creating a visually stunning backdrop for the celebration.
To top off the evening, Daniel’s grandmother graced everyone with a joyful song during the reception. Daniel himself surprised guests with a special performance! The dance floor was alive with energy and excitement, and it was clear that everyone had an unforgettable time!
“I don’t even know where to start. Analy is the best decision we’ve made in our 29 years of life. We are not naturals in front of the camera. And are awful at PDA, but Analy has the gift of making you feel like you’ve known her your entire life. She’s a homie from day one. We started with our engagement photos and found ourselves actually laughing and having fun with her in front of the camera. She brings out your genuine joy. And gives you so much direction while still appearing natural and as if we just always look that good. I also should’ve started off by saying I am able to write this review within a week of our wedding, because we already got 190 PREVIEW photos 2 DAYS after the wedding.
She caught every candid emotion and moment and I can’t believe there are still more to come. Being able to share photos within the week after your wedding while you and everyone else is still riding the high… I would pay a limitless amount. I have been a part of my fair share of weddings (as a guest/bridesmaid). And I could go on and on about how Analy is by far the best in the business. Horror stories of other photographers taking a year to get photos back, 6 weeks just for previews, friends with only a handful of photos they would actually want to post… you’ll just need to book her for yourself to know what I mean.
And you should hurry because the secret of her greatness is out and this girl has big things in store for her!! Analy is the GOAT and we feel so honored and lucky to have been able to work with such a prodigy behind the camera.”
