However, when their plans shifted to an Oregon wedding, they decided to bring the essence of Hawaii to their engagement shoot at Powell Butte Nature Park! A Simple + Minimalist Engagement in Oregon
Sam really wanted a Japandi aesthetic, which is a blend of Japanese and Scandinavian design. It is characterized by simplicity, minimalism and a connection with nature! Sam envisioned their day with natural textures and an abundance of greenery, which I think we nailed. It perfectly complemented the tropical elements they were also aiming for! Powell Butte Nature Park is filled with grassy field and a serene ambiance, which was the perfect backdrop for their romantic spring engagement shoot.

On the day of their engagement shoot, Daniel wore a neutral tropical shirty. It was the perfect nod to their original Hawaii dream. Despite the heavy rain that came down for twenty minutes, the couple’s spirits remained high! They found shelter and waited for the rain to pass. Surprisingly, the photos captured none of the earlier downpour, even though it was undeniably wet! The lush greenery, combined with the tropical hints and Japandi style, created such a unique atmosphere.
