This styled elopement was during the time I attended my first ever overnight workshop, the “Hey Darling Workshop 1.0” hosted by two amazing and talented creatives, Henry Tieu & Viet Dinh. The workshop exceeded my expectations, I walked away gaining so much more knowledge as well as finding my “why” and digging deeper to discover the true meaning of why I do what I do, and why I love it so much. Everyone I met at the workshop were amazing and it was literally nothing but positive affirmation and support for one another. I miss it so much!
For my adventurist lovers, let’s run away; rain or shine and be happily in love together. That’s exactly what we did with Mollie & Drew in Sequim, Washington…not sure where that is exactly? Just think about the Olympic National Forest. Around 4pm this day, we drove an hour out from our gorgeous cabin to the beautiful Lake Crescent where these two beautiful babes eloped on the dock…well to be honest, Mollie & Drew are already married but they used this moment to renew their vows to each other. It was a special moment that they so kindly shared with us all and I truly feel so grateful that I was able to be there to witness their love.
This location was breathtaking; the water was so clear you can see right through it. The colors of greens and blues highlighted the lake and across the dock where we stood, you could see the mountains aligned with a foggy overcast. Talk about a PNW Moody Elopement goals! It was a total dream. Just freaking pinch me!
Speaking of Winter…Spring got a little delayed, it still felt like straight up Winter…it was cold and of course rainy. However, it wouldn’t be a PNW elopement without some rain or fog am I right? Mollie and Drew were total troopers in the cold. Through all the goosebumps and frozen toes, their love was so contagious and warming that when shooting I totally forgot that it was raining or that my fingers were going numb and that I could no longer feel anything except the stinging sensation when I tried to move my fingers.
Everything was planned out to perfection for this styled elopement; the location, floral, details, decor, and so much more…they all complimented each other so well. I’m a total sucker for earthy warm tones, with a subtle pop of color, especially the orangy-reds and I’m pretty sure my dream color palette came true this day. The details designed by all the wonderful vendors and styled by the one and only, Rain and Pines seriously was the perfect icing on the cake.
So if you’re even thinking about eloping in the Pacific North West, here’s my answer for ya…More PNW elopements please! I’ll be your girl, any day and through any weather! Let’s go do the dam thing babes
